.U.F.O Cases UK

T.r.i.pa UK states that they are a paranormal investigations team investigating the world of the paranormal. Should not state that they investigate the paranormal as they ONLY investigate Ghosts and Hauntings. So what do they call them self's?Ghost hunters, Is  the word ghost hunter mean that they just hunt ghost?

I know taking with my team the fact we've never liked being called just ghost Hunters because its sounds like we just ghost hunt at weekends. I know that speacking for myself my work is full time and has been for the past 11 years. Many of the my team are weekend Hunters but the other half have other jobs but still researching cases all week and weekend. Ive never liked being called GHOST HUNTER and calling myself and the team PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS means we then chase UFOs and lockness and Bigfoot cases. Ive worked on five UFO cases in my 20 year career and never been into the UFO side of my field research as I have with the GH side of my work. Few months ago I was asked to head up and cases in the Cleveland Hills 11 miles from where my home town is by local group. I must addmit its started to make me see that investigating UFOs and Alien cases in a new light and this is why Iam posting a new UFO hotspot cases file page here on the blog in the hope I can help teach the public and myself more information on these weird and wonderful cases i now find myself involved in.

Here is a great website for all UFO cases that have happend with UK borders.

Witness Name: Valerie, Terry, Tully, Dan and Georgie

Witness Statement: Saw two orange orbs, both stopped for a while and hovered then one flew off over to the right and ascended higher, this object moved at a much faster speed than any aircraft I have ever witnessed, had no flashing lights and no noise. The other orb was still hovering, it then changed from orange to a much brighter white it then had some sort of burning liquid that poured from the entire circumference of the orb this burning liquid dropped to the ground in a dripping motion the orb then descended down the line of the burning liquid, the orb went behind some trees we could still see the glow of light from it through the trees, it then re appeared and rose to it's original position then flew off to where the other one was and both just disappeared.
We were completely amazed at what we saw and like most people try to put an explanation of what it was, if it was of human origin then what on earth were they dropping out onto the hill....but I feel quite strongly that they weren't local!!!!! I also feel really inspired that I witnessed such an amazing spectacle.

Witness Name: F.Mohamed

Witness Statement: I was stood outside have a cigarette, staring into a reletively clear sky when I all of a sudden noticed 3 faintly lit orange discs in a triangular formation, travelling at a very high speed. I quickly pointed out to a friend of mine (who was with me at the time) but before he looked up and focused his gaze into the direction, this strange object was rapidly disappearing as it was travelling further away. It lasted no more than 5 seconds. All the people think I'm mad and some suggesting a Chinese lantern etc but I know what I saw and believe me it was no Chinese lantern!! Strange but true.

Witness Name: Joseph Grist

Witness Statement: July 20th, 2011. I wasn't sure of the specific time, but I knew it was round about 10:40 and 11:05, I was lying in bed watching TV, and I heard the cows in a field (which was about 100ft away from my house) making so much noise. I tried to ignore the noise so I the volume up slightly on my TV. Suddenly I heard this loud booming sound. It sounded like a trumpet almost, but the tone did not stop. The cows once again began to make a fuss, so I looked outside. There in the sky was a bright Blue and Red light, hovering above the field. I watched as it tipped back and forth, and suddenly a bright spotlight appeared. I wasn't sure what it was, nor the shape, it was simply too dark. Then, another one appeared. It quickly appeared from behind the forest, and moved towards the other object. The noise was so loud it even upset my neighbours dog. As they were hovering in a line, they then decided to turn back, and they rushed towards the woods, and disappeared. As they moved away the booming sound they admitted stopped, it didn't get more and more quiet, it simply stopped. I have never told anyone about the incident that night.

Location of Sighting: Batley, West Yorkshire
Date of Sighting: 2nd or 3rd of November
Time: 4pm-5pm

Witness Name: Spad Poules

Witness Statement: As I was coming out of Tesco in Batley I was sat in my car waiting for the traffic to move. I looked up into the sky and at that exact moment a black object flew from one cloud to another. I didn't think much of it at first and tried to work out what it was. Firstly I thought it was a bird so I was looking around at the sky franticly to see if I could see any birds. I did see some flying about and noticed that they were tiny compared to the object that I witnessed. So then I thought maybe a plane? I looked around again and noticed that the planes were smaller and higher that the object that I saw. It could not have been a plane taking off as there are no airports in the area nearby. The object was black and elongated. It was moving at great speed at about a 45 degree angle. It moved from one cloud to another as if it did not want to bee seen. Some say that this might not be a true account of a UFO but I can only describe what I saw and have no explanation as to what it was. If someone has an explanation I would welcome their feedback. This is not the first UFO I have seen over the skies in Batley. Some 15 years ago me and my friend saw a huge glowing white light (not a Chinese lantern) in the sky and it got brighter and brighter. Then suddenly it disappeared. We read in the newspaper in the following days that a weather balloon had exploded but we heard nothing and are weather balloons being used? I think it was a cover up as many people saw this phenomenon. We need the truth from the US government about these sightings and other unexplained anomalies. If the pope has come forward and said he would welcome extra-terrestrials into the Christian belief as if they would anyway, why haven’t American officials not come forward and stated the obvious. That alien life form does exist and not just in bacteria form on the ice caps of mars.

Witness Name: Liam

Witness Statement: Sited small dark circular craft approaching from the North passing over the Pennines. Moved in very fast short and sporadic jerky motions. Following about twenty seconds later were 3 or 4 helicopters. The object continued to zip about in a controlled manner for another 20 seconds before shooting off into the east at high speed. I witnessed this with a friend and when i brought it up recently on a long journey to Scotland he was overwhelmed as he thought that it was a dream. Apologies for the vague dates and information as this occurred a long time ago.

Location of Sighting: Sheldon, West Midlands
Date of Sighting: 18th November 2011
Time: 20:18

Witness Name: James
Witness Statement: I'm just going to put down what i saw and know so sorry if this seems a bit jumbled.

I was driving down Berryfield Road in Sheldon, Birmingham just coming down onto Parkdale Road when i noticed 4 amber colored lights in the sky.
They were in a triangle formation when i first noticed them - they drifted in formation until they held over Sheldon country park.
Here they then shifted into a perfect square formation and continued to hold - they then went out one by one.
From when i noticed the lights to when they went out was roughly 4 - 5 minuets.
They made no sound at all.
Sheldon country park is right next to Birmingham international airport, which i live by so I see and hear aircraft taking off all the time - this was not a plane.
It was a very clear night i could see loads of stars
From what i could tell the lights did not change altitude - and did not move out of formation

Location of Sighting: Forest Hill, south east London
Date of Sighting: 19 November 2011
Time: 17.30

Witness Name: Karl Flinders

Witness Statement: Two strange objects in the sky over Forest Hill, London. 19/11/2011
I went put the front door at about 5.30 to put something in the bin.
I noticed two orange lights in the sky. They were travelling at the same speed. They were traveling roughly North. They struck me because of the colour and size. The main orange light had a small red light next to it.
I thought they must be helicoters due to the slow speed but there was no sound.
They were not only travelling slow but there speed seemed the vary. The flew a bit like insects and almost jittered.
The two lights were also begining to move in in differnt directions. One started moving a bit westward. This was quite sudden.
The lights were about to go over the house so I went into the back garden. When I got there there was only one of the lights. I continued to watch it and it continued to fly slowly and not in a straigt line. It took a slightly meandering course.
At this point I called my wife to see what she thought. I was not imagining that the light was travelling at a strange speed and jottering Lille an insect.
I continued to watch and then the light went off but I could still see a shape. The sky was clear the whole time.
I suddeny thought how stupid I had been not to film it on the iPhone.

Date of Sighting: August 2011
Time: 9.15 pm

Witness Name: Mark, Jim and Di
Witness Statement: saw bright light from my house . the three of us were going to get food. got in the car and started to drive . we kept our eyes on the light but it then looked like the moon coming from behind a cloud and so bright. as we drove up the stourbridge road the light was still coming towards us . but the large glow had gone
we stopped the car and got out and watched this triangular disc come strait over the top of us. then seemed to stop and reverse and change direction. there was a red light at the front flashing and green on the other corner and neon blue on the other. these lights were quite big and round.the disc was very large and no soun and was very low.. an airliner came after that and looked very small compared to th dis we had seen.... ive been into aircraft all my life and i know what i saw... my partner never believed in anything like this till she saw it... strange thing is it followed the same flight path as the res of the aircraft..and our aircraft dont have blue large lights on them.. i still think its military craft though...but why put them there for every one to see and film and then deny they have such aircraft.. wat we saw as been seen all over the world and at probably the same time .. so what is the purpose of them.

UFO sightings over 1950s Teesside

By Paul Delplanque on Mar 11, 11 06:00 AM
Do you remember when UFOs or Flying Saucers as we used to call them were all the rage? Unidentified Flying Objects have not really gone away, people still maintain they have seen them, but some how the interest in the phenomena has shifted from the mainstream public consciousness into the realms of conspiracy theories. But back in the 1950s people were seeing the objects almost on a weekly basis and Teesside was no exception. We decided to have a look back at what was going on in the skies over Teesside back then.

zz090211ufo-1_edited-490.jpg
A flying saucer pictured over Middlesbrough in the 1970s. This picture was found in our archives under a file marked Unidentified Flying Objects but was undated and not attached to any news story. It is thought it was taken in the 1970s

The very first report we could find in the Evening Gazette of a 'Flying Saucer' was on December 12, 1950 just three years after the first sighting by Kenneth Arnold in America who first used the term 'saucer' to describe the objects he saw. The report in the Evening Gazette read: "It was sure to happen sooner or later. A flying saucer is reported to have been seen on Teesside. Our informant, a 16-year-old from Yarm is quite clear that at 9.55 last night at Bank Top, Yarm he saw at a considerable height an object of a brilliant light green hue descending in a spiral in a north-easterly direction at an angle of 45 degrees. He said, 'It was something entirely different from what I have seen before. It was visible for two or three seconds and then it was gone."

Cuttings from the Evening Gazette in 1950 about Flying Saucer sightings. Notice the question mark after Flying Saucers note at the top of the page.

The following day people who had also seen the flying saucer contacted the Evening Gazette. Three people from Middlesbrough saw the object but the best description came from a man working for the Tees Conservancy Commission who was keeping watch at the Harbour Master's office. 'At around 10 o'clock he saw a vivid green flash streaking towards the ground in a north easterly direction at a terrific pace. A few hundred feet above the ground the object disintegrated.'

A close up of the object pictured over Middlesbrough

gmc090211ufo-3_edited-490.jpg
By July 1952 some students at Constantine College, Middlesbrough who were members of the 'British Interplanetary Society' were heading off to Newcastle to investigate the latest sightings of flying saucers, interest in the subject was certainly growing. Two months later came one of the most intriguing sightings, but this time it was not the general public, students or schoolboys but the RAF based at Topcliffe near Thirsk who reported a strange object in the sky on September 20, 1952.

More cuttings from the Evening Gazette about flying saucers including the significant account from the RAF in 1952. The N.R. in the headline reading 'Flying Saucer seen over N.R.' refers to North Riding

meteor.jpg
"A 'Flying Saucer' entered 'Exercise Mainbrace' (a NATO exercise) today following a report from the RAF Station at Topcliffe, near Thirsk of a white object having been seen which accelerated at a speed in excess of a shooting star. The object was seen by about ten RAF officers and men, the crew of Shackleton aircraft operating from Topcliffe. A signal said that the object was seen at 10.53am yesterday when a Meteor aircraft was flying at about 5,000ft and was descending. A white object was seen five miles astern of the aircraft at approximately 15,000ft. It was moving at a comparatively slow speed on a course similar to the aircraft. The object was silver in colour and circular, it maintained a slow forward speed before beginning to descend swinging like a pendulum. Then it suddenly accelerated at incredible speed in a westerly direction then turned to a south-easterly course. The duration of the incident was between 15 to 20 seconds."

A Meteor jet aircraft on the left, this was the same type of aircraft which was followed by a Flying Saucer over Thirsk. The aircraft to the right is a Vampire.

The official explanation was that the object may have been an engine cowling which had fallen off, or a smoke ring from the Meteor jet aircraft or even a parachute. But no cowling or parachute was reported missing and smoke rings do not accelerate at an 'incredible' speed, do they?
ufo.jpg
An illustration of how we all imagine a Flying Saucer to appear.

ufo tyne77.jpgReports of strange objects in the sky continued to appear in the pages of the Evening Gazette through out the 1950s. In 1957 the first references to 'Unidentified Flying Objects' appeared in the Evening Gazette and descriptions of 'cigar shaped' craft made their debut. Clearly the phenomena, was here to stay. However, despite all these sightings only one photograph of a UFO could be found over Teesside in our archives, it appears at the top of this feature.

Flying Saucers seen in the Tyne area in the 1970s tended to be somewhat grainy and unrealistic, but things would improve decades later.

ufo4 sage.jpg
The interest in UFOs seems to have gradually changed from curiosity to the obsessive and beyond that into what can only be described at a belief system, in fact there are at least two 'religions' based on UFOs. Now it seems that the belief in UFOs carries a whole lot of other baggage with it such as 'Area 51', government cover-ups and a raft of conspiracy theories. These ideas are mainly held by American citizens, who also appear to be the 'abductees of choice' for aliens.

These days you get a much better quality UFO over the Tyne, here is a Flying Saucer checking out the Sage at Gateshead.

But back in the 1950s it all seemed so possible that we were on the brink of making contact with Martians or Venusians. The lights in the sky and the saucer shaped objects seemed to go hand in hand with the start of our own space adventures with Sputnik and later Yuri Gagarin. If we could make it into space, why not the Martians?

A classic UFO photograph taken in recent years, but with the advent of photoshop on computers we can never really believe what we see in photographs these days.

ufo2.jpgBack in the 1950s when I was a lad I had my own UFO experience: We were just leaving my aunt and uncle's house on a sunny summer evening. Everyone was out in the street pointing up at the sky, some were even looking through binoculars. I looked up and to my astonishment there was a silver disc hanging in the sky with the sun's rays glinting on its surface creating different colours. I could not believe my eyes; it was happening at last, the aliens were landing! My ever pragmatic dad emerged from the house carrying the suitcase, took one look up at the object and said, 'weather balloon' and walked past me to the car. I stood for a moment looking at the floating 'disc' as it gradually dawned on me that it was actually a sphere and my dad was right.... damn it!
